Last years Bulgaria became world’s leader in lavender production and export. Even France is outmatched by Bulgarian endless lavender fields. This tour gives great opportunity to get amazing shots for your portfolio. You can catch apogee of the lavender in bloom just during two weeks in the year and we would like to invite you to do it together with us. During the tour we will visit some different lavender fields with different shooting positions and will travel to one of the brightest symbols of Soviet epoch – abandoned and beautiful Buzludzha monument.
Day 1, Meeting at the airport (June 20)
Meeting in Burgas or Varna airport, transfer to Tyulenovo village. Sunset shooting (up to the flight schedule). Night shooting on the lavender field with wind generators.
Day 2 (June 21)
Sunrise in Tyulenovo bay. Transfer to Thracian valley, sunset at Zhrebchevo lake. Night shooting at Buzludzha monument.
Day 3 (June 22)
Transfer to Plovdiv city – the oldest city in Eastern Europe. Sunset at the field near Plovdiv with night shooting on the same place after the dinner.
Day 4 (June 23)
Visit to one of the best Bulgarian vineyards with hot mineral springs. Transfer to Kalofer town with sunset at the lavender field near Tazha village.
Day 5 (June 24)
We will start our day with flight on motorized air-trike, then can visit one of the oldest rose oil refineries, where you can find out everything about famous Bulgarian rose oil. Sunset shooting will be on the field in the area.
Every participant can prepare up to 10 photos, made during the tour for analysis and enhancement.
Day 6 (June 25)
Sunrise on one of the fields in the area. Transfer to Yambol. By the way to Yambol we will stop for sunset shooting on lavender field near Chirpan city.
Day 7 (June 26)
We will shoot sunrise on the lavender field near Yambol. After breakfast we will pack our bags and will move to the airport for the flight back home.
Required equipment and wearing during the tour
- DSLR or MILC camera
- Lenses: telephoto, wide, normal, macro
- Gradient (hard, soft) and CPL filters
- Tripod and remote shutter release device
- Headlight or torch for the night shooting
- Spare batteries
- Clothes both for warm and cold weather.
We will shoot mainly in the valley, under the hot summer sun, but we will also shoot Buzludzha, which is situated at 1400 m. above the sea level, where temperature fall down to 5-7C
