Altai is beautiful at the end of September. Banks of Chuya river are covered by yellow and red colors of autumn with turquoise inclusions of water smooth mirror. Snowy peaks of Aktru on the background of golden larch relic forests under the autumn blue sky inspire even those, who have seen autumn Altai many times.
Day 1, Meeting at the airport (September 19)
Meeting at the airport of Barnaul. Transfer to Multa village by the Chyua highway. Accommodation in the tourist complex by the river Katun.
Day 2 (September 20)
In the morning we get on the all-terrain vehicle GAZ-66 and move to the Multinskie lakes. After about two-hour way we will accommodate in the tourist camp bungalows.
Visiting middle Multinskoe lake in the afternoon.
Day 3 (September 21)
Visiting Kuiguk lake. Hiking the autumn Taiga will take practically whole day.
Day 4 (September 22)
In the morning we going to leave Multinskie lakes and move to Multa village. Lunch and transfer to Kurai steppe then. We will stop by the way in order to make photos of autumn Altai landscapes.
Accommodation in bungalows in Kurai.
Day 5 (September 23)
This day we will move to mountain camp Aktru. This place is unique with some big glaciers in the valley, which are available for visit from the camp. These places have amazing views in autumn, with many golden larches over snowy peaks on background.
Day 6 (September 24)
Whole day we will visit different places, including Bolshoy Aktru glacier and ill see Karatash peak rocky walls.
Day 7 (September 25)
This day we will leave Aktru camp for Kurai steppe. Evening shooting at Djangyskol lake.
From the Djangyskol lake shores we will have amazing view to the snowy peaks of the Northern Chya mountain ridge.
Accommodation in the Kurai steppe tourist camp.
Day 8 (September 26)
This day we will have some rest in Kurai steppe. We will visit some panorama viewpoints and one of the most beautiful places, where golden autumn is seen in its best.
Day 9 (September 27)
Visit of Katu-Yarik pass. There is incredible view to the Chulishman river valley from the pass.
We will visit Kidelyu river by the way to the Katu-Yarik pass. This lake is very popular among the photographers.
Day 10 (September 28)
At day ten, we will move to Chya steppe, which landscapes look like Mongolian alpine steppes with no trees.
We will visit odd place — Kizil-Chin. This place is called 'Altai Mars', because mountains here have yellow-orange color.
Day 11 (September 29)
Transfer to Barnaul by the famous Chya Highway.
Accommodation in the hotel.
Tour program order can be changed due to the weather conditions or other factors.
We will have our own professional chef, who will take care about early breakfasts, outdoor lunches and dinners in hotels and yurta houses. We won't need to think about making coffee or meal on the go.
